Quietly speaking to your heart
A nostalgic feeling, as if you've met it somewhere before, yet with a slightly mysterious presence. From the moment your eyes meet, ponpoco possesses a charm that quietly enters your heart. Its rounded shape, soft demeanor, and a touch of humor. When you touch it, a warmth gently spreads, as if responding to your feelings.
It started as a small mushroom. From there, ponpoco gradually transformed, growing into a presence that resides in a corner of someone's life. Like a rounded pebble, it embodies the gentleness that only comes with time and a sense of nostalgia. That memory-like sensation is quietly enclosed within it.
Tiny, rice-grain-sized parts are created with fingertips. Each carefully layered step in the process is reflected in their expressions and gestures, imbuing them with unique personalities. The moist texture that fits comfortably in the hand, and the deep expressions created by multiple layers of glaze. All of these contribute to its existence not just as a vessel or an object, but as a "vessel for touching and connecting with the heart."
Just placing it gently on a shelf softens the space, and a fleeting glance can soothe the heart. Even in busy days, you might find yourself wanting to stroke it or whisper to it. Life with ponpoco is filled with quiet tenderness and a touch of playfulness. Before you know it, your everyday life might become a little more precious.
Due to being handmade, there are individual differences in color, shape, thickness, size, weight, glaze unevenness, glaze drip, glaze pooling, slight wobbling, pattern, and expression. In addition, some items may have variations in glaze application, crazing, pinholes, or iron spots (black dots), but these do not affect usability. Please enjoy these as unique characteristics of handmade items. You cannot choose which item you will receive, but we hope you look forward to its arrival.
