It began as a small mushroom. From there, ponpoco gradually transformed, growing into a presence that resides in a corner of someone's life. Tiny parts, no bigger than a grain of rice, are crafted with fingertips. Each carefully layered step in the process is reflected in its expression and demeanor, imbuing it with a unique "personality." The texture that fits snugly in your hand, the deep expressions created by multiple layers of glaze. As each item is handmade, there will be individual differences in color, shape, thickness, size, weight, glaze unevenness, glaze drips, glaze pooling, slight wobbles, patterns, and expressions. Also, there may be differences in how the glaze is applied, as well as crazing, pinholes, and iron spots (black dots), but these do not affect usability.
