Gentle and comforting for your dining table
Soft, layered colors that look as if they were gently painted with watercolors. The smoky colors and original matte glaze create a charm with their calm tones and a hazy, misty appearance. There is an ease that emanates from them, something nostalgic that helps you let your guard down.

Because the shape is simple, the combinations of color created by the overlapping glaze and the slight variations from being handmade are striking. It is the gentleness left by the traces of handcrafting the very fact that it isn’t overly uniform that you can feel. Each time you use it, you can discover a unique landscape in the piece itself.

While it blends seamlessly into your daily table, it makes every meal feel just a little bit special. It looks lovely serving breakfast bread, seasonal fruits, dinner side dishes, or even when brought directly to the table for guests. Beyond just brightening up your dining table, it has a presence that makes you want to keep it on display in your cupboard as a part of your daily life even when not in use.

The time spent waiting for the food to be ready, the moment you lift the lid, the casual conversations shared over the rising steam. These individual moments transform an ordinary meal into an irreplaceable time. Handcrafted, this earthenware pot still carrying the gentle warmth of the soil seems to make those moments of savoring the seasons and gathering with others feel quietly richer.

As each piece is handmade, there are individual differences in color, shape, thickness, size, weight, glaze unevenness or pooling, stone-pop, slight wobbling, and subtle differences in patterns or designs. You may also notice variations in the glaze application, crazing, pinholes, or iron spots (black dots), but these do not affect usage. Please enjoy these as unique characteristics of handmade work. We cannot select which piece you will receive, but we hope you look forward to its arrival. If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact us before shipping, and we can email you a separate photograph.

Recommended care and points to note from Mami Furukawa
〇 For donabe and heat-resistant ceramics, please perform "medome" (curing) before initial use. 〇 To cure, simmer rice porridge in the pot, or add a little rice to plenty of water and simmer. The key is to use low heat to avoid burning. 〇 After washing, if moisture remains in the vessel, it can lead to mold, so please dry thoroughly before storing. 〇 We hope you enjoy how it gradually gains character the more you use it.
Understanding "Handmade Ceramics"
〇 As each piece is handmade, individual differences occur in color, shape, patterns, size, thickness, and weight. Even with the same glaze and clay, color unevenness and shading will occur. 〇 Designs are hand-painted one by one, so expressions may differ. 〇 Depending on the manufacturing process, some products may show small holes, small black spots, scratches, bumps, pinholes, wobbling, or warping. 〇 We process images to represent the true colors as closely as possible, but colors and textures may appear different depending on your computer or smartphone display. 〇 In addition to inspections by the makers and kilns, we deliver items that have cleared our own final quality inspection. 〇 Product photos are samples; no two items are exactly alike. 〇 We do not accept returns or exchanges for customer convenience. Please understand this before purchasing. 〇 We hope you enjoy the "charm" and "character" of handmade work that cannot be found in mass-produced factory goods!
